Hi and welcome to my brand new blog. My name is Rox Phaff. I am a chemist with PhD and worked over 20 years as such. Then the economic development hit me and I got unemployed. In this situation I had to come up with some ideas to earn my living.
One day I came across a website mentioning the possibility of earning a living online. A time of research and self education followed. Looking back I have to admit I would do a lot of things differently. Amongst others:
I wouldn’t spend the amount of money I did for products and courses.
I’d make a plan from the beginning and would stick to it.
I’d do a lot more research on the internet for free.
I would have started earlier with a serious project.
I had been more suspicious about offers like: Get your free website, get your free business, 5 ready made websites for you or: “See how these guys knowing nothing about computers or the internet make money after their first hour online” and “I earned my holydays and more during those holidays on autopilot with a brand new site”.
The only thing I can say by now is: sty away from such offers. If they are not completely lying at you then at least they don’t tell you the whole truth about the massive work and/or investments done before the performance.
I decided to help others in the situation of wanting to earn money online to avoid the mistakes I have made.
I am working for now with a course called Profit Marketer formerly Profit FM. This blog is an experiment with that course. I just want to see how that works in such a competitive niche as internet marketing. The measure is of course the amount of traffic and money coming in.
Since that course concentrates on blogging I will do as well at first. I plan to cover subjects like finding a promising niche, finding affiliate products, keyword research and market analysis. Then I want to also cover techie stuff like domains, hosting, installation of a wordpress blog and customizing that blog. I‘m going to introduce plugins that are useful. Next I plan to write about creating blog posts and different aspects of marketing like social media, posting comments on other blogs, press releases, forum marketing and so on. When preparing my blog posts I’ll see what other s have to say about the subject and give a lot of links for further reading . During the course of this blog I will keep you updated from time to time on how it is doing so you can see what is working for me and what is not.
Where the route will lead me from there I can’t tell by now. It depends a bit on the success I will have with this blog. If it does well I am going to set up a blog in another niche and let you participate life and real time in what I’m doing and I won’t hide anything from you. Not as those guys mentioned above do.
If my blog is not that successful I’ll try out other things like ppc marketing, video marketing and pinterest.
Well, we will see where this all leads.
